Privacy Policy

When you build a proposal, fill in the contact form, or chat with Kai, we collect what you type: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, your vehicle, the services you are interested in, and any notes you add. If you accept a proposal we also keep the appointment, the amounts and the status of the job.

While your vehicle is with us we take photos of the work. They go in your portal so you can see progress, and they are our record of the condition the vehicle arrived in.

If you use the customer portal we store the phone number or email you sign in with. Sign-in is a one-time code, so there is no password for us to hold.

Kai, the chat advisor, keeps the conversation so you can pick it up later and so the shop can answer anything Kai could not. Before you tell it who you are, you are identified only by a random id in a cookie.

The site also records basic, anonymous usage — pages viewed, rough region, device type. No advertising profile is built from it.

To answer your question, price your job, send your proposal, schedule your drop-off, take a deposit, and keep you posted while your vehicle is with us. That is the whole list.

A few days after a job is finished we may send one message asking for a review. Ignoring it is a complete answer.

We do not sell your information, rent it, or trade it to advertisers, and we do not send marketing blasts to people who never asked for them.

We may text you about your own job — proposal ready, appointment reminder, vehicle ready for pickup — and only if you ticked the consent box. This is the exact wording next to that box, and a copy is stored with your record so we can both see what you agreed to:

Only the services we need to run the shop. Each sees its own part and no more, and each has its own privacy policy:

Supabase

— the database and the sign-in behind the customer portal and the shop console.

Vercel

— website hosting, plus privacy-friendly analytics that count page views.

Umami

— website analytics: which pages are visited and where visitors came from. No cookies and no personal details.

Square

— card payments. Card numbers go straight to Square and never touch our servers.

Resend

— the email we send you, and whether it arrived.

Twilio

— text messages, in both directions.

Vercel AI Gateway and Anthropic

— the model behind Kai. Chat messages are sent to generate the reply and are not used to train a model.

Affirm

— only if you choose financing, and only what you enter in their application — their policy governs it.

None of them is paid to profile you, and none receives your details for its own marketing.

Three kinds, all functional. A sign-in session cookie so the portal knows it is you; a kai_sid cookie holding a random id so a chat survives a page reload (six months); and a little browser storage that remembers your place in a proposal you have not finished.

No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, nothing handed to a data broker.

Proposals, appointments, invoices and job photos stay for the life of the warranty on the work — they are how we honour it — and for as long as tax records require. Chat transcripts and unfinished proposals are kept while they are still useful to us and to you. Anything you ask us to delete goes sooner.

Everything travels over an encrypted connection. Customer records are reachable only by the shop's own staff accounts, and any payment credential we hold is encrypted at rest. No system is perfect, so we keep only what we need.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a correction, ask us to stop texting or emailing, or ask us to delete your record. Call or text (808) 495-4425, or come by the shop. We will confirm it is you — usually with a code sent to the number or address on file — and take care of it as quickly as we can.

Deleting a record removes your contact details, vehicles, proposals and photos. We may keep the minimum a paid invoice requires us to keep for tax purposes.

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and every text takes STOP.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the site after an update means the revised policy applies.
