Paint Protection Film
Invisible armor for rock chips, lava dust and salt air.
Paint protection film is a clear, 8-mil urethane skin applied to the panels that take the abuse: hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors, headlights and door edges. Rock chips, gravel, bug etching and the fine lava grit that sandblasts a front end on the Queen KaΚ»ahumanu stop at the film, not your paint.
We install UPPF and STEK films with a ceramic-infused top coat, so light scratches and swirls heal with a little sun and water beads off like a fresh coating. Every kit is plotter-cut for your exact year and model, and we can create custom patterns when a vehicle needs one.

The PPF process
- 01
Paint prep
Decontamination wash, clay and a light polish so nothing is sealed under the film.
- 02
Plotter-cut kit
UPPF or STEK film cut to your exact model; custom patterns when we need to wrap an edge.
- 03
Wet install
Film floated into place, squeegeed and edges tucked β 1 to 2 days in the shop for a full front.
- 04
Cure + care
No washing for 7 days. After that, hand wash and enjoy the self-healing top coat.
Kona note
Lava dust is sandpaper
Fine volcanic grit on the Kona highways pits bumpers and hoods faster than mainland roads. Salt air finishes the job on any chip. PPF keeps the factory paint under glass, which is what a buyer pays for at resale.
