Kona sits under some of the strongest sun in the United States β Hawaii records the highest average UV of any state, and the index here regularly reaches the extreme band. A vehicle parked outdoors at midday is absorbing everything the sky can deliver through every piece of glass it has. Quality window film is the difference between a cabin you can get into and one you have to air out first.

The thing worth knowing before you choose: darkness and heat rejection are two different properties. A quality ceramic at a legal 35% will keep your car cooler than a cheap dark dyed film, because ceramic is engineered to block infrared β the part of sunlight you actually feel β rather than simply absorbing visible light.
