North Kohala is the far end of the island from us, so we plan the job around one trip. Tint, PPF, coatings and wraps, booked properly in advance.

Serving Hawi & Kapaʻau

Why Hawi & Kapaʻau comes to us.

Hawi and Kapaʻau sit at the northern tip of the island in North Kohala, former sugar plantation towns that have become a genuinely lovely stretch of galleries, restored storefronts and small farms. Hawi is also the turnaround point for the Ironman World Championship bike leg, which tells you something about the road in and out.

There are two ways here from Kona and neither is short: up the Queen K and along ʻAkoni Pule Highway, or over the Kohala Mountain Road from Waimea — nineteen miles of narrow, winding, spectacular ranch road. Both are hard on a front end, and the coastal route adds the open lava fields and the wind that comes with them. Vehicles up here also sit in salt air and full sun, and covered parking is not the norm.

We are about an hour and twenty minutes away, which is a real trip, so we plan North Kohala jobs differently. Rather than asking you to come twice, we will sort the full scope in advance — tint, film, coating, whatever the vehicle needs — and book a drop-off that covers it in one visit. Build a proposal online or call us first and we will work out the schedule around the drive rather than around ours.
